Larger monuments or monuments requiring more customization such as family monuments and hand carved monuments will generally range from $7,500.00-$80,000.

Monument Pricing
The price of a monument is based upon several factors including granite type, size, finish, lettering, carving and etching. We work with each family to design a monument that suits both their needs and their budget. Granite Type
There are over a dozen granite types that we work with on a consistent basis. Each granite is priced differently based upon several factors including quarry costs, availability and shipping costs. The most affordable granite type for headstones is Barre Grey Granite. Barre Grey Granite also happens to be the highest quality memorial granite. The lower price does not mean a lower quality; the price is lower because the quarry is more efficient, the granite is readily available and shipping costs are lower than other granite types.
Monument Size
Smaller monuments are less expensive than larger monuments. Increasing the size of the headstone or marker by only a few inches will increase the price as a result of higher material costs, transportation costs and installation costs.
Granite Finish
Most headstones are polished on the front and on the back with top and sides that are rock pitch. This finish is commonly referred to as “Polish 2, Balance Rock Pitch”. This is often considered the standard finish on a headstone. Polishing the top and sides of the monument will increase the cost as the extra step of polishing requires more labor and machine time.
Lettering
The amount of lettering, the size of the letters and the style of engraving will factor into the cost of the monument. Hand drawn letters or frosted outline letters are priced differently than standard monument roman letters.
Carving
More intricate carvings or hand sculptures will add to the cost of the headstone when compared to a simple flat carved design.
Etching
A headstone with a portrait etching or an etched scene on black granite will increase the price of the monument.

The cost will also be determined by whether there is a bronze vase or if the bronze plaque is mounted on a granite base.
